Gestational Diabetes Diet and Weekly Meal Plan: www.fitaftergd.com/meal-plan

In this video, I discuss a lower carb option (190-130 g carb/day) to the traditional 175 g carb meal plan for gestational diabetes. If you are struggling with your blood sugars or 175 g carbs feels like too much food for you. Newer research shows that lower carb is a safe and effective option for moms with gestational diabetes.

How many carbs in a diabetic diet should a diabetic eat a day in their diabetic diet? Dr. Ahmet Ergin, will explain exactly how many carbohydrates should a diabetic eat per day in their diabetic diet Although the ideal amount of carbohydrate intake in a type 2 diabetic diet is uncertain, individualizing goals is the key. Dr. Ergin will give real-life examples to help understand how many carbs should you eat personally. As long as a patient with diabetes can maintain reasonable glucose control as well as a healthy weight, the amount of carbohydrates does not necessarily matter as much. Some people can do this with 30 g of carbs per meal, and some people can eat up to 75 g per meal depending on their activity level, age, gender, and duration of diabetes type 1 or type 2. For sedentary individuals, we do not recommend eating more than30-45 g of carbs per meal.

Please note: Dr. Ergin sees patients in FL and NY. NY is a virtual practice only. FL practice is in West Palm Beach( both in-person and virtual). We accept most insurance in FL. If you do not live in FL or NY you can still apply for the “coach plan”. Our coach plan is with “health coach only” and self-pay only. Any patient in any state in the USA can apply for this particular “coach plan”. For more info about self pay pricing please visit: https://sugarmds.com/membership-plans.
