I nominate dr. Bernstein a champion

Dr. Berstein was a pioneer when it comes to the advocacy of low carbohydrate diets in the treatment of diabetes. If there were any justice in this world, he should get more credit for that from the scientific community.

Me being someone who has has hit 5.7 and/or a FPG of 101 over the past 10 or so years on occasion, I'm more than a little concerned. More often than not, both HbA1c and FPG are below the prediabetic threshold but not by a very comfortable margin. That said, I feel so fortunate to have landed on what I'm thinking will be a treasure trove of invaluable information for me. So glad you've weathered your challenges most admirably and are generous enough to share your experiences here. I'm looking forward to further educating myself at your university and doing all that I can to stay 'normal' as long as I possibly can.
My first step, purchase the book. Thank you, Dr Bernstein.

I've been listening to Dr. Bernstein's teleseminars for about 2 years now (Discovered Dr.B. nine months after being diagnosed a Type 1). I've read Diabetes Solution as well and always learn new things. I've got to say that this new video method I have enjoyed immensely (Watched all 17 today) and it's great to be able to start from the beginning again which reinforces the knowledge I already had and I've learned new things here that I may have glossed over before. THANKYOU Dr. B for doing this excellent service. It really helps a Type 1 like me who lives in the countryside of Nevada and does not have nearby access to good healthcare facilities.

Dr Bernstein is a genius, he really cares about helping people with diabetes to control their blood sugar and remain healthy. Amazing man considering the opposition he had to go through! There is so much mis-information about diabetes and diet out there but with Dr Bernstien the proof is in the meter. I'm prediabetic with a family history of type 2 diabetes, following his guidelines I am always able to lose weight and go off my BP meds…as soon as I go off his recommendations such as outside pressure and travel situations where I'm not in complete control of my diet I gain the weight back and end up needing BP meds again. I'm watching these videos and following his recommendations again and hope to improve my health and keep my blood sugars under control to stay healthy. Thank You Dr Bernstein!

This man is the most important person in controlling diabetes. No one else comes close. I hope this series gives him more exposure. He is so underexposed and at his age we need to help him get his message out.

Dr Bernstein's teachings are life changing for persons with diabetes. There is so much valuable take home information about management and control. I credit him for my 2 very successful diabetic pregnancies with excellent control, and now have 2 beautiful and very healthy girls. The mainstream media is finally beginning to catch up with his recommendations for low carb eating.
Using his principles my Hba1c is currently at 5.1 (I eat low carb, but I am not as strict as I should be about very low carb), I rarely have highs greater than 120 or lows ( I think my lowest in the past year was 69). My fasting is typically in the low 80s. I use basal-bolus insulin. Thank you Dr. B!!!
